Vaela (She/They) and Micah (They/Them) are two queer authors in a long distance relationship writing queer books together. Micah is a nonbinary ace who met Vaela during an online game of DnD. Vaela, after being told that having a cast of 100% queer and polyamorous NPCs is not a very cishet thing to do came out as trans shortly after. They started dating even before that and made plans to write down the stories that brought them together. Micah and Vaela write across several genres, but their books always have a few things in common. They focus on queer relationships and queer culture such as, for instance, found families or breaking and blurring of gender boundaries, as well as on subjects of love, be it romantic, platonic, aesthetic or familial. Their stories also very often if not always contain one or two polycules and emphasise understanding, consent in relationships, empathy and healthy communication.
