J.D. Williams grew up in Nebraska, and after graduating from the University of NE – Lincoln, she moved to Minneapolis and toured with a pop cover band. As a recording artist and songwriter, she worked with some of the most talented artists, producers, and managers in the Minneapolis music scene. She has been involved in movie and video production and helped recording artists and bands as a manager and publicist. She is also an award-winning writer for general consumer and business publications and has had work printed in various national and regional publications. Now living in Franklin, Tennessee, J.D. continues to write music, and her songs are featured in the Julia Tate Song Series of books.
