My debut novel, A Cactus In the Valley, was published when I was a 17-year-old senior in high school—although we don't talk about that much now. I hold a National Gold Medal in Flash Fiction from Scholastic Art & Writing. I live in Illinois and am currently studying to be a high school English teacher.
